The majority of developers will tell you that they’ve never needed math for their work (like I did a couple of paragraphs above), but after musing on it for a while, I had a though. What we might have here is a reverse Maslow’s hammer problem. You know the one – when you have a hammer, everything looks like a nail. […] Math is our hammer in reverse.
