Scott McCloud on Google Chrome
Google hired Scott McCloud to author a comic book about their upcoming browser. It’s really quite amazing; the text is so simply and clearly written that I initially figured the graphics were superfluous, but really they slow down the pacing of reading and make every point perfectly clear.
I’ve never quite understood McCloud, and I’ve never felt like I had any problem “understanding comics.” But if he wants to quit that and write textbooks for the rest of his life, hell, I think that’d be great for everyone.
