Terribly Important, Terribly Insightful, Terribly
Influential, Terribly

back of the line, Mac

It feels strange for the Mac version of the Google Chrome beta to be so far off the horizon. Aren’t we the best five percent? Reminds me of feeling shafted on the other side of the fence when the Quake 3 Arena beta was inexplicably released for Macs and Linux several weeks before Windows. (id’s reasoning: keep the tester pool small while getting the early, obvious bugs out of the way.)

If you take Google’s explanation of Chrome at face value — that they really have no interest in waging “browser war,” they just want a better platform upon which to build their web apps — then it makes perfect sense. 0% of Mac users use a web browser that sucks balls. Mac users can wait.
